Electro-acupuncture

[Subterm of Acupuncture]

Electro acupuncture refers to a form of acupuncture point stimulation utilizing a weak electric current. The application of this method is facilitated by Dr. Voll’s diagnostic measurements of the electric properties of acupuncture points. The electrical conductivity of acupuncture points may be increased or decreased in disease. This may reflect an inflammatory or degenerative state of the organ or tissue associated with a corresponding acupuncture point. An over- energized and a sub-energized state can be distinguished. Therapy aims at normalization of the energy state. Depending on the state of the diseased organ, an electrical current of specific frequency and intensity is used. The correct frequency and intensity harmonizes the system.
